#TheLetter Dear Mapaseka, I Did NOT Use Protection
THE LETTER Guest Dear Mapaseka I am 41 years old, I have a depressing situation, ten years back i once dated a woman, it didn't last long because we were too different, yes we did sleep together, and I did not use protection because she said she was on prevention, we broke up, later that year I discovered that she was dating my brother afterwards. I then confronted my brother and informed him about the situation, his response was that he is in love with her , so I did not have a problem with him dating her but I was glad that I told him so that we be clear of the whole situation. Along the way my brother realised that she was not only dating him there was some other guy my brother knew about but he did not leave her because he said he loved her and he confronted her to stop seeing the guy. The same year the woman fell pregnant and she said it was my brother’s child and he also agreed that it was his and our families met and agreed on damages. The following year the baby boy was born. My parents were excited and welcomed the baby; when the baby was 1 year 6 months , my brother called me and asked how the experience of my first child was for me and the connection. I explained to him how excited I was and I was even impatient to knock off at work to just go home and hold my child in my hands. He told me that he does not feel the connection and that the girlfriend told him about the pregnancy when she was three months into it. My brother said he agreed to the pregnancy because he didn't want to embarrass her because everyone knew that they were dating. From OSCAR

#TheLetter Dear Mapaseka, Help Me Navigate Baby Mama Drama
THE LETTER Guest REITUMETSE MTHEMBU & MBULELO MAYIKANA Dear Mapaseka I am a 23 year old guy. My baby mama gave birth in September and she did not call or text me to let me know she gave birth. I asked her to send me the pictures of the baby and even now she has not shared them. She's very demanding when she wants something, she is aware that I am not working and have to ask my mother for support. I am fed up with this lady and her attitude is something else ; she doesn't respect me at all. I called her last week and she said ke batlang. We spoke for about a minute then I hung up the call. I called her again after 3 days just to check up on the baby and her, as we were talking I could hear her sister calling me names. Not so long ago she told me that I don't have a child and that she doesn't mind to raise the baby without my help she said all of that after I told her hore things won't happen ka nako a batlang ka yona. There is a lot going on in my life. There is too much anger at home we hardly talk/sit as a family because once we chill together someone will start a fight. I am emotionally overwhelemd and tired . Im experiencing short term memory loss because of what is happening in my life at home, as well as ke baby mama drama. I'm even scared to chill/ talk with family because I might hear words I'm not supposed to hear. They can't see hore this negativity is affecting me alot. I got accepted to study in Cape Town; we can't celebrate that as family because of the tension that is happening.
