#TheLetter Dear Mapaseka, I Need Relationship Advice

THE LETTER Guest  Dear Mapaseka I need help regarding my relationship. I met my partner in 2012 and we have been together for 12 years and not yet married. In 2022 I paid a lobola to show her that I am serious about our relationship. We have 3 kids but one dieddue to miscarriage. Early 2024 I told her that I need to use a picture of hers she had taken during our friend’s wedding wearing traditional attire. I went to her Facebook profile, mind you I had informed her about that. Instead I found pictures of her with a guy that I don't know. I asked her about him, she said he is a friend. Those pictures were taken in different places even at the groove. I was shocked because she said is not a party animal. I went to the guy’s Facebook profile and saw a status of him professing his love to her and she had responded positively to him. In one of the pictures she was brushing the guy’s beard. After asking her about this she confessed that they are in love. I was so shocked and she told me she did this because I didn't take care of her feelings. For me this does not add up as I did everything for her while she was studying until she get a job. She now plays the victim in this situation as if all this is my fault while she didn't tell me that she had problems in our relationship. This was as we were getting ready for umembeso; I do not want my children to be raised outside of our relationship. What should I do? #TheLetter Dear Mapaseka, I'm typing this with tears rolling down my cheeks.

THE LETTER Guest MBULELO MAYIKANA & REITUMETSE MTHEMBU Dear Mapaseka I'm typing this with tears rolling down my cheeks. I met my now husband after almost 2 years of being widowed and all was well as he understood me and my struggles at the time. While dating he was kicked out by his stepfather and I took him in and we lived together at my family home for years and my family loved him especially my mom. The year 2020 happened and I lost my job at this point i had bought a house, became really depressed and he was there for me. I eventually found another job but not as good as the previous one since I can't even pay my bond with that salary but he helped out. He pushed that we get married. I was skeptical but we did get married in 2022. He then started dating other women immediately after getting married and I found out sometime in 2023. During this time my mother was in and out of hospital until she passed on in 2023 September. The day after I buried my mother his mistress called me to ask how did the funeral go. This man fought with me on the day telling me how unfair I was yet it's the girl that called. He has been in and out going on dates with the lady and has never took me on one or even asked how do I feel after my mother's death. He eventually told me that he wants the lady as a second wife that time we have no food in the house and 2months in arrears on the bond.  The other day my kids told me they have found pics of him and this lady as well as the ladies kid...all playing happy family yet I don't even know when last did he take a picture with his own child. I have asked for a divorce and he is refusing; that time the other lady is getting everything including his attention. This is just half of it and…I am so tired.
