Xoli chat’s to Ipeleng Khunou, aka “Crazy Legs”, is a South African marathon runner who competes on crutches; no prosthetics, just pure determination. Later this year, he’ll be repping Mzansi at the Berlin Marathon, aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon run on crutches. But that’s only part of the mission. He’s lobbying to have crutch-running recognised as a Paralympic sport. He’s hosting coaching clinics for young athletes with disabilities across the country. And he’s redefining what it means to run, not in spite of disability, but through it. This morning, he joins us in studio, not just as an athlete, but as an advocate for adaptive sport, and a reminder that when you change the game, you change the world.
